Besides apple Laptop, you should go for Dell Inspiron..they are really god!!

Dude I don't think so that Apple is comparable to Dell, there is totally difference in both of these products, I also like Dell Inspiron but Apple is other class.

I've got the little white MacBook. Really good machine, nicely priced, lightweight and small. I use mine for coding and design, as well as music and it handles everything with aplomb. I would say get a memory upgrade tho, the 2GB it comes with isn't really enough for some more intensive jobs, or if you need a load of apps running at the same time...

You have not mentioned the budget! You can also consider DELL laptops, they too are good.
