Hello All, I am new to the forum so I would like to say hello. I would like too know how to get a new password. When I turn on my computer it asks for a password that I can't remember. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem. It is a Dell laptop and in good condition but I haven't been able to use it.

BIOS password or OS password?

1 Restart the computer in a splash screen appears after press F8 key, select safe mode "with the command line.
2 In the login screen will see "administrator" and other local users user name, use the mouse to click the "administrator", into the command line.
3 With the net ordered compulsory to forget the password of user name change your password.
4 restart the computer in normal mode can use "command" the user name and password to login netadmin ".

If its a user account password, You will need to login as admin and change the users password in the control panel.

Bios passwords can be a bit more troublesome. But still fixable.

Not if it's a Dell laptop built for a corporate order and it was bought second hand.

You may need the original order and delivery details plus the service tags, then you can get the BIOS code from Dell Tech support.

go to the control pannel and in there enter user account and there u will find the password settings change there

but u should be in administrator mode for doing this

Thanks for the discussion. Actually, I experienced this problem but my friend helped me to get a new password.
