Hi, i really need some help here. I am starting to work for sunlife financial tomorrow and need my laptop to run windows xp for their software. Currently i have windows 7 installed. I want to know if I can split my hard drive and when computer boots I can choose xp or windows 7. So I can use xp for work and windows 7 for home. Since i don't have the cd for windows 7 I don't want to remove it completely. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!

Step1: Make NTFS partition using windows xp sp2

Step2: Install windows seven on the second partition.

Important: Dont forget to take data backup before starting the above steps!

Run their archaic software on compatibility mode or through VMware Installing. It will work as an operating system. and also u can try to install Window XP on other Drive if u have.

hi, It is simple. You just have to insert Windows XP bootable CD into your Cd or DVD drive and click Enter. When it asks you for installation of Windows XP select the drive which has near about 700 MB space to load windows and please select the drive where windows 7 is not installed. Once the OS get loaded please check it by rebooting your laptop.

It is very easy to use more than one operating system in one laptop.For that install window xp in your laptop.After total complete of xp installation restart your laptop.Now Enter your window 7 CD into drive,it will automatically boot,When it try to install window 7,first it will firn your window xp,and alert you for that ,now it will give you option like live with current operating system,choose this option it will install window 7.

Well, you can easily put the Windows 7 and xp in your laptop easily. First install the windows 7 and then just by selecting the different drive while installing the Xp.

You can use both,windows 7 in your home and xp for office purpose,while installing service pack,don't forget to give two partitions,in ntfs partition of service pack 2,..keep a backup for windows 7 first and then go a head with installing part..or else you loose..

You could use a virtualisation software for Windows XP.
