I have P4 System.
My computer is running slowly and at the time of internet processing it becomes very slow. I think P5 computer system is better than p4 in speed. I want to purchase a new computer. Give me suggestions which computer is best for fast internet speed??

I am using the Intel dual 2core processor computer and it is really nice.My computer runs fast and also give nice speed while browsing on the Internet.The speed of the mainly not depend on computer but on the Ram you have on the computer.Normaly 1Gb RAM is required for using Internet,the speed also depend on the Network of whom you are using.

The speed of your internet connection has very little to do with your hardware. A faster computer will make software (such as your browser) more responsive but it will have no (significant) effect on your transfer rates.

People were using the internet long before it was common to have more than 1GB of ram.

According to me P5 is better than P4. But now a days dual core is the best. It gives the highest speed of internet.

Intel never branded a processor as Pentium 5 and even if they had it would have no impact on 'speed of internet'.


If you want to get hypertechnical Intel did actually produce a P5... in 1993. But in this case it was processor microarchitecure and it was for the original Pentium. So in a way a P4 is much much better than a P5.

you give me important information for computer. Now I can improve my computer speed and I can also purchase best pc system.

I would say just upgrade you RAM and you would have good speed and you can browse fast with more work.

Do agree @Null pointer... yep.. there's no such P5..(was based on micro architecture level) So P4 is obviously good.. Upgrade your RAM.. as no hardware deals with any such speed of the internet.

it seems strange that you haven't mentioned what your connection is: modem, boradband what speed? 56k 1TB??
