My brother has recently invested in a laptop with Windows 7. Seeing as he has a huge music collection (stored on an external harddrive) he wants to have some automatic backup software in place.

Does anyone know of any software that would make automatic backups by taking everything that is on the external and copying it onto another external?

Windows7 comes complete with a much improved backup system.

Control Panel -> Syste and Security -> Backup and Restore.

Handy Backup can do it well, it's reliable backup software for Windows. I have used several backup programs for years, and I recommend Handy Backup.

There are so many backup software for Windows. We can use simple freeware backup applications for backing up the files or complete backup . And Windows 7's own backup center builds on it.

I agree with you. So many softwares now online, and it is mixing me up..

I use ghost to create an exact copy from my pc.

i googled a freeware, easeus todo backup, that can do automatic backup, quite good.
