There was a release notice when I opened up FireFox today, notifying me about the release of FireFox 5. Anyone tried it out yet? What do you think? Is it an improvement to FF4? Did they rush the development of it? Just wanted to hear some feedback from members of the community that tried it out, so I'll decide whether to upgrade or not for the moment,

Yep was rushed out.
They are also not releasing ANY updates for FF4 now. So your better off with FF5.

Ive been running it for a while now also and haven't seen any difference ( maybe a lil faster )

FF5 is more like FF4.2 or whatever minor number they were up to. It's hardly the major release it would seem to be. I waited a couple of days for a few extensions to update and then upgraded to FF5. I haven't really noticed much of a difference.

The only difference I have noticed Is the speed. It has become faster, but just a little. Anyway firefox is my favorite one.

just upgraded my FF. I have already got accustomed to knowing Firefox is the best for me, and I do not expect mozilla to get worse. Find 5th more stable as well.

That's the reason why I haven't upgraded yet. The plug-ins needs updating. So, I guess I'll wait a while..

There are still a couple that I'd like to update, but none so critical that I wasn't able to move to FF5.

Noticed sometimes streamed music I may listen online is stopped for moments when I try to access any new page at a new tab. That was not noticed for FF4.

All addons work well what is good.

@Chris Hurst - You beat me to it.

Don't let the number fool you. It really isn't the major upgrade the version number would make you think.

So, I just upgraded to FireFox 5 today.

A few add-ons wouldn't work like site-adviser for my McAfee subscription, but I couldn't handle the constant crashing of FF4..

So far, it's faster. Working pretty smoothly at the moment,

I know. I just found out that there's a FireFox 6 beta, ( also hearing rumors of FF 7 )
