Any suggestions for deleting trojans?

I have a few on my computer. I'm a little concerned. I found them a few days ago and I'm really frustrated. I can't seem to delete them. I've tried granting myself admin access. Doesn't work. DOS prompt can't find the program files folder for some reason but then again I'm not very good at command prompt stuff.

I need to pretty much bipass my administrative permissions and just delete the file.

Yeah it's Windows Vista.

How do I just find and kill the file? Program? Method? Code snippet? Anything?

Depends on what trojan it is and how you know it's there.

I find that a combination of Avast AV and spybot stop them before they get started.

Just as an afterthought.By any chance are getting this "Trojan" information from:

Win7Antivirus pro or AntiVirus2010 or AntiVirus2011 or Vista antivirus 2010 or Vista AntiVirus 2011 or Vista Security Pro or any of the other several dozen names it goes by?

Here's a couple of links, hopefully with useful information for you. I know you don't want to hear this, but I think if this can't be resolved I would wipe the hard drive clean and start over. I know looking up all those passwords and serial numbers for the software, very time consuming.

Before having Macs, trojans were a constant issue for me. My suggestion is to make sure you have data backed up and just do a restore. Saves the trouble and worry of having the trojan still.
