ok today i witnessed the most tragic event of my life. my friend got my bag out of his car boot and out fell my new macbook pro . . . . the corner is dented and scraped . and the other corner is also scraped. after spending hours crying to myself i thought id post the thread in hope you could help me with ways of getting my machine looking good again. when i open and close my mac the corner of the screen scrapes against the base . . . . pleasee help me :'(

Put it in a new case.

i took it to the apple store when one of the genius's there said i will need a new display and top case which would cost £264 GBP. i managed to persuade him to put it on the warranty even though it doesn't cover accidental and cosmetic damage. long live the apple genius's

I pay a couple of quid extra a month on my contents insurance to cover laptops, netbook, phones and Android tablet while outside the property.
