Is there a way to reboot or renew the drivers for the SD slot (card reader) ??
or do you have any sugestion on what I can try to make the card reader work again,
I'm useing the card from my camara

Hello Dan,

Hopefully this Link will help you, scroll down the page. Click on My Computer, and Manage/System and click on Device Manager. They explain how to check for the SD Card.

Also when we purchased our camera, there was a disk with software that had to be installed.

Still no luck on this , It's the Auto Play that is not working

So does it work ok when you simply click on the drive letter?

Ensure that the card reader driver installed correctly, or not corrupt ( caused by virus )..
Also, ensure that the pin of card reader slot fine and not broken

This is an older post but I will share my experience in the hope that it will help some one.

I have a hardware card reader installed in floppy drive slot. If I use the windows 'safe to remove' function it shuts that port down and I to reboot to activate it.

I solved the problem with a $2 purchase on Ebay, a mini card reader that plugs in to any USB port. The sdhc card plugs into this little rascal and then into the USB port. Using the 'safe to remove' function does not affect it.

Well, card reader is an auto play device so if this is not booting on your PC then it might be possible that it is out of order.

Do you make sure that your USB port is on working condition? You just check your port first to insert some other USB devices.
