Ubuntu has really nice GUI.. but im not too sure about its compatibilities and reliability

Default ubuntu installation uses the gnome environment.
And as far as compatibility and reliability, it's compatible with any Linux based program, and as reliable as your hardware iis.

hey well i need diz cd coz i need to change 4m windiws to linux one . welll becoz of the antivirus tooooo. we can remove virus 4m our system using this cd....

Linux is good, but compatibility makes it really hard to implement in a business atmosphere. Great for personal use though!

I agree with your statement on using KDE as a desktop being heavy.. Gnome operates much faster on my laptop. I have been using Ubuntu on my laptop for over a year now and haven't looked back. Install Virtualbox whch is free as well and install XP as a virtual machine and you will have a very nice setup, that covers most if not all you computing needs.

It took some time for me to get used to Linux, like most anything. it takes time to adjust to change.
