I'm trying decide if I should get another PC or go with a Mac Book Pro with the Intel Duo core; those machines are sweet but PC are so much cheaper. Any ideas?

It depends on your needs and what you want to use it for. Don't go for a machine based on spec/price alone. Many people agree that Macs are great for design & media work, but for someone like me who uses a lot of things that will only work on a PC (SQL Server, Visual Studio, and the countless freebie tools & utilities I use) a Mac wouldn't be a feasable choice. Of course there are many other factors involved... you've got to look at your needs and then choose the machine that best fits those needs. Nobody can make the choice for you.

As Minaki said it really depends on what you need to use it for, I'm actually also thinking of getting a laptop but for me it would have to be a PC but only because it's cheaper.

Depends what you need it for If you're PC is outdated, then I'd personally choose to upgrade/get a new PC. Right now my PC is okay for a little bit longer, so I'm looking into getting a new notebook.

I'm also looking into getting a MacBook. Though I don't think I'll be getting a MacBook Pro, and I want to wait until a few revisions of the MacBook are out so the bugs can be squashed

Why not get a mac with boot camp?

The sleek, coolness of a mac with the large number of programmes available on Windows.

I believe it requires a pentium processor - I'm not a Mac man, so find out if BC is available on Mac laptops.

Good luck

i use laptop for portability..., get home transfer files across wireless network to backup on desktop's usb hdd..

Get a Mac. That is all I have to say. They work so much better, and now, they integrate with windows. I am addicted to Apple. ( I think they put crack in their computers somehow.....)
Be warned!
