What you could do for re-installing windows is to create an unnatended installation. It's a fairly advanced topic so I won't go into detail here, but there's a lot of info on the web about it. In the simplest terms, It basically involves passing a text file to the Windows installer with all the info on it that it needs for setup. Although you can get very clever with it - you can slipstream the latest service packs, updates & drivers into the installation, and get it to install various other apps after the Windows install is complete. I once got a Win2000 unattended install CD to the point where I could put it in, reboot my computer, and come back in a couple of hours with the majority of stuff installed exactly how I wanted it
