Here's the problem.

I have a website hosted by a certain company. Everything was working just fine until a few days ago, now I can't get to my website, I can't ftp my website, and I cannot send/receive any mail coming from that domain.
I can view any other page on the whole web, not having any problems with my isp email.

That pointed to me that it was a hosting problem. So I called them and
the hosting company said that they can do everything that I can't.

I can get to my website via megaproxy with no problem (my hosting company told me to try that.

Things I have done to try to solve the problem:

disabled every single firewall and antivirus software- didn't help

called my isp to see if something is going on there, nothing

unhooked my router, and hooked straight up, no help there either.

I'm so lost. I've tried everything. My site actually came up for me yesterday for about 30 mins, then disappeared again. I was able to do everything I was supposed to, but now i can't.

If anyone has any ideas, cause i've tried everything, please help me out here.

Thank you.

The website is www.gershaz.com

I read the rules, and I think it's ok to paste that link, if not I'm sorry.

Can anyone else get to my website?

Is there any settings that would not let me do this?

Thank you again.

Loaded just fine from here.

Tired, old advise is all I have to offer,

Delete all **your temporary files,

and all or any cookies related to your site.

Reboot and see how it does.

**all cookies may not be what you want to do.

Thank you all for trying to help...I've already deleted the temp files, and cookies, no help. But...what I did just now do was, hooked the modem up via usb cable instead of ethernet port and it worked.. Why would it do that?

That is not my specialty but I would guess a dead port or misconfiguration.

For security you really need to get the router back into the setup.

Hi Gersha

I am really sorry to see how frustrated you are, i have found that sometimes you need to walk away for a day and then come back to the problem with a fresh approach, i know its not easy to do but just try, anyway after my health advice to you i will now try and give you some technical help.

I am almost 100% sure that this will be a isp (internet service provider) problem, if all the other webmaster members here can access your site including myself then i would look down your isp route, and here is why:

Are you useing Broadband, if so have you had it upgraded to a higher bandwidth which means have you increased your speed say from 2mb to 8mb, doing this can cause problems for your line from the telephone exchange to your master socket (phone jack) in your house, the reason behind this is that with every telephone line that goes to a household there is a certain amount of what is known as loss on the line, if you are a long distance from your local telephone exchange then by your isp increasing the bandwith on the line this causes even more loss and eventually the line will fail for a period, this does not last for long and then the line recovers and you can go back online for a while again, this is commonly know as dropping out in the telecomms business.

Now your isp and your telephone providers will not accept any responcibility for this and you will be pushed from piller to post with call center bull!

The only solution is to keep pestering your telephone company to decrease your bandwidth speed of you bb line.

Another solution would to check your website out on a friends machine and see if you can access it from there, if you can then you know that the site is ok.

I would honestly think though that you have a line problem or your isp are makeing some changes and are not coming forward with any helpful information!

I really hope you get sorted soon, i have been there!

Benzol

P.S. You could also try changing your rj45 cable, it may have gone faulty or as the other guy said your router port may have developed a fault, as in all these cases its a trial and error elimination process!

Good luck
