I am very new in computer assembly. I have managed to assemble an old celeron 300 Hz processor in a computer with window 98. The mouse serial port and 2 USBs are linked together with multiple wires on a board connected to mother board multiple pins. At the beginning, the mouse worked well but the USBs did not function though my tumb drive showed flickering light. So I tried to fix up the problem by checking the pins and connection but in vain. It has a bigger problem now. The computer cannot trace the mouse now keep requesting to plug in my serial mouse though it is already fixed. On checking the USB port, I found that the tumb drive did not light up. different mouse port and several mouses have been tried out but the computer still cannot trace the mouse. The cursor simply does not move. Can somebody help me. Sorry, I have little knowledge of computer. Please explain patiently. Thanks

With any new computer set up using windows 98 you have to load and enable the drivers in the device manager to get the external and internal devices working, try these!

reinstall the driver it may help u lot if not plz see that the drivers are not working
