Just wondering who use's toolbar, when I go out fixing pc's in my day job I find alot of people using these and personally myself I think they slow your pc and can contain spyware.

Does anyone here use any toolbars ?

i only use the google toolbar. every other tool bar is almost certainly going to be spyware of one kind or another.

After that, no. Pain in the butt to get rid of some of those things, isn't it? I just managed (after 2.5 hours) to kill the "888 Bar" on my girlfriend's machine.

i know what u mean... i have had tool bars that i delete through control panel, it says its gone i go to the folder it is stored i (it's still there...) so i delete it manually... and the it appears to go and as soon as i boot up again its re-downloaded...

i hate them...

and btw dont think google wont spy... they all do in someway.

if a (very clever) script can pull up everysingle spec of your pc, your ip (obviously) exact location, isp, internet connection speed/type, and view all you internet history, i think some clever people can make a toolbar which does the same.
