Thunderbird filters out the majority of the spam but every so often I get quoted for viagra and such.

And on the subject of spam laws: The EU has them but they only cover the EU which doesn't really solve anything.

I have almost no spam it works.

Spam is coming to my inbox a lot less. Even my "sign up for crap on the web" mail account at hotmail is not seeing very much spam in the inbox. Used to it was hundreds a day. I guess they actually started filtering. Anyway, now Gmail is my friend.

spammers are using better techniques these days.. i get spam in my gmail even with the filters turn on..

I think it's better for the most part but brother, am I ever tired of those scams telling me there's all this money in a bank account ... or "in the name of God I beg you..." (something to that effect anyway)...those I seem to be getting more of lately and it's a pain. Nigerian scams and all that. UG!

Good Question. But the clear answer is yes, spam is getting worse everyday.... I get around 5 spam emails a day to my account which is a pain in the arse when you have to delete them all. Alot of the ones I get are fake ebay and paypal emails where people try and trick you into logging in via the email and giving your details away. I'm no fool to these and ensure I use good mail software to prevent hackers etc.

spam and ads are getting worse, is imposible to surf wiyhout a adsblocker!
