Right short story, i mucked up my drive ended up reparting it so that it showed as D: and C:. d: was c befor ei mucked it up and C: was the new partion which i re-installed windows on.

when i got all data i wanted off the D: partition i deleted it.

Now i have C: partion with 13.42GB and 23.85GB of unallocated space on my main HDD how do i add the unallocated space to c:?

basically i want to make it one partition with all (dont laugh) 40GB in that partition. (with out formatting and starting again!)

can some please help me! i have no clue how to do this.

thanks,

Dan

Have you got Windows XP? If you do, it gives you the option of rearranging/repartitioning your drives so that you can have as many (or in your case, as few) partitions as you want. Just run the setup program and it'll ask you where you want to put it (what partition, etc.) Just delete all of your partitions and create one new giant one.

I believe Windows 2000 does this as well, but I forget off the top of my head.
