Well since the thing gets on your system thru an attachment on a SPAM email, you should be VERY wary of any attachments in emails that appear as spam.

This tells you how to remove it, but if you are NOT used to working in the Registry, do NOT try this, get someone who does know.

While this IS a fairly new threat, you still should be keeping your anti-virus updated daily.

Yes, Norton just added it a day or two ago. They also have sent out an alert to everyone that isn't currently subscribed (or so it looks that way). Can you really see the side affects happening or does Norton just say you're not protected against trojan.peacomm?

Hi
I need some help please! I am a bit of a computer thicky but need it for my work. I had the trojan.peacomm but Norton managed to get rid of it. I have since subscribed to spyware doctor and registry mechanic to try to get rid of the problems that the trojan left me. I have had no joy. My pc has three printers attached to it but none of them work now. I get the message "remote procedure call failed"
I have a HP pavilion pc and run with windows xp.
My pc's warranty ran out last week!!

Please reply in very simple step by step!!
Thank you.

Hi scooby!
Visit http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.html and post there your HijackThis Log (instructions you can find there). People will try to help you.
Also you can download automatic scanner and remover here
Manual removing is not effective for trojan.peacomm
