HI,
I use Firefox as my main browser, but it uses a lot of resources without doing nothing. Is there any other web browser that's more resource wise than Firefox?

The question is, how many extensions do you have loaded and which ones ??

FF 2.0 is much better with RAM that it's predecessors, but some extensions can and will take up much more memory. Unload them one by one until you find the culprit.

I've found FF2 much better, haven't had any problems with it really.

You could try disabling the back/forward caching, that can eat up a ton of memory. Other then that, double check your extensions as LadynRed suggested. Faulty extensions are a major cause for leaks!

But if you really want to ditch FF, then I'd give Opera a chance. I personally don't like it as much, but it's still a great browser.

Either you add more ram or uninstall some addons from firefox, sometimes complex themes and loads of addons consume too much memory.

I am using firefox for more than one year and I haven't felt any urge to check out other browsers.

FIREFOX ROCKS!!!

Using Mathon right now with 15 tabs open (gmail, 2 google searches, about 7 differant message boards, and logged into cPanel) when typeing or activly using Mathon I am using about 53 megs of ram. When I am not using Mathon (it is minimized or even in the background) it uses 11 megs of ram.

Oh, once you get used to using super drag and drop and mouse comands, you wont go back!

And IE fan, open up 15 differant websites and coun up all the ram you are killing, no way IE is anywhere close to as efficient, even IE7.
