If its what it appears to be which so far everyone who has followed my instructions has "fixed" it, then it isnt a virus.

And there-fore it wont be found.

by anything. because theres nothing to find.

At somepoint their passwords were harvested, at a guess by logging into a unoffical MS site and having it nicked.

then a remote server logs in and does its spammy business.

changing your pass fixes it

be careful...all my friends have that virus that sends offline messages that go like this (link removed by moderator)
this virus/bug i dont have because i have just recently reinstalled windows xp pro

it also appears that these messages are sent mostly by people who arent in your contact list

I too recieved the "see who blocked you" link. Stupidly clicked on it, now it has my details but i have tried changing the password and it doesnt seem to of worked. I still get "logged onto another computer".

I only realised what was actually happening when my bf logged on but was on the bed asleep behind me. He has also tried changing his password but it hasnt worked for him. I have ended up having to block anybody who sends me the "virus". Other than changing my whole email address i cant see how to get rid of it.
