Hey everyone,

So I am hopefully going to set up a small server at home and was at first going to use Windows but for what I want to do it does seem quite unconventional. Now I am completely convinced if I want to do such a thing it must be on a Linux based platform.
At first I thought Red Hat was the right option but it takes the cake price wise.. Even compared to Windows from what I've seen so I've moved onto Debian. Although I might end up with Fedora for now it's Debian. So here I am at what looks like the download page (http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/) and I see about 8 different options for the same Operating System. Then I click on one of those options and see an open directory. Which option do I choose, for a server do I want Debian or Fedora or is there a better distribution, is there a complete tutorial that will explain everything step by step, or is that the right download spot?
I'm sorry I'm quite confused and don't know were to go for help besides here.
Thanks for your time.

Just to host a few really small sites. I don't expect more than a few GB transfer a month (probably around 4 or 5).
Mostly to learn how to set one up though.

Lol I know. I am currently running Apache, PHP, and MySQL on my Windows machine. I want to learn how to do this on Linux because Linux is more popular in web servers compared to Windows.
