I am trying to sort out data from the web copied to an excel spreadsheet in a particular manner. Instead of manually sorting out the names, emails etc, is there a faster way to do it, something like a macro to do the job for me. Somebody please advice.

Depends on the specifics, but probably. Have you used macros before? You don't have to write the code; you can just hit a record menu, do the steps by hand, and Excel will code the macro for you.

Can you post a sample of what the data looks like unsorted, and say what you want it to look like? I find Excel to be really good for that sort of stuff.

If you have a delimited source file, you can import the file into Excel, then you specify where each field ends and the type of field it is and Excel will do the rest. You'll still have to do some manual tweaking, but far less than parsing it manually.

Tools, Macro, Record Macro, give the macro a name, decide if you want it active in that workbook or global, then do the steps you want the macro to perform. You can assign the macro a shortcut key to make it easier to use too by typing a letter in the shortcut box before beginning recording. Be careful not to use certain keys that are already shortcuts with ctrl - like ctrl c or ctrl v, etc.
