Ok my xp did not update or anything so i thought i would do a repair, i did. I inserted the xp setup disk and choosed repair. I left it and went to watch tv. When i came back it was installing another windows. So i cancelled by taking the disk out. It asked for me to instert the setup disk so i click cancel and every time i start windows it says resuming setup please wait and it askes me to insert a setup disk if i dont it will restart and ask me to do the same again. So i kept cancelling untill i got fed up. So i left the disk in and let it install another windows.
Then it came up a bsod but not the normal one. It said there was a fatel error it needs more diskspace. It must be installing on the 2gb hard disk. No matter what i do i cant exit this if i boot in safe mode it just says ''windows cannot start in safe mode''
Heres the bsod error code:
0x0000007e (0xc0000005,0x805dbc15, 0xf79f?698,0xf7fd394
This is ruffly it.
The ? = a ''D'' or a ''5''
Please help me.... ops: ops:

Unfortunately I think LadynRed is right. It's time to do the format and reinstall everything! I hope you had backed up your files before doing the repair.

If you hadn't backed up your files and you need do, you may still be able to get them. Try restarting the computer with a Knoppix or other boot disk, and boot to CD. You can set this up in BIOS. Once you boot into the knoppix console, see if you can read the contents of your hard drive. If you can, then connect your computer to an external hard drive and using knoppix (or whatever other boot disk you're using) copy all your files to the external drive. Then go ahead and format your hard drive and reinstall XP and everything else afresh.

Good luck!

Look, if you got HD of just 2 Gb or less you got rel problem because XP needs around the 2 Gb of space as minimum but wthout any other application installed. Especially if you try to reinstall XP logical is that system announce you about shortcoming of the space. My advice is: all important files (docs, images e.t.c) save on diskette or CD and then reformatt HD and install new XP onto. And don't upgrade anything, I got also installed XP and it works perfect and only I had to do is maintenance of the HD (Disc Cleanup or deleting of the unnecessary files, NOT the Cookies, they are very imporatnt). Hope you'll make it successful. Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.
