I've seen time and time and time again where just about every webmaster site states content is king and I do work on adding new unique content all the time, however I've seen a lot of different ads of people offering to write articles for you at a given price.

The thing is my site is a niche market site regarding the hobby of nitro radio controlled cars/trucks. How would one find someone to write articles for a niche market? All the offers I've seen of people offering to write articles are usually very generic subjects (ie. health, politics, beauty, etc.) Any ideas?

It might cost a few pennies more, but there are plenty of writers who will research your topic and then give you a unique article.

I've actually found a number of writers that already populate my forums and for a couple bucks an article, I actually get quite a nice response. (if they write five articles I will buy them a site t-shirt that I offer on CafePress).

You don't have to find it, just create it.

Interesting, I haven't seen anyone offering to research a subject then write about it. I've just seen ads about people having or willing to do articles about one or two subjects.

I agree and I do add content myself, usually about 2-3 new articles each week. However the more the better, right?

ezinearticles.com has a HUGE collection of authors and articles on a variety of different subjects, I would suggest looking there. I believe you are limited to republishing 25 articles a year, but if you just use one a week it will work out great. Just make sure to follow their policies for republishing and to also add your own comments and analysis to the articles (create unique content).

I never copy content. I research at wikipedia.org, then create my own content.

I believe creating your own content is the way to go. However, if you wish to supplement that content, I would recommend hiring someone who will research the topic and write articles about it. I would expect these articles to be more expensive than others that you might buy because of the greater amount of work.

Hope you find what you need.

If your visitors are enthusiasts and expect a certain level of content, be careful who you hire. Most low level writers that charge 1-2 cents per word are just fine for surface level writing. However, they typically fall short on depth.

Another idea would be to create the content yourself and have it edited. Proper grammar is only one part of the equation for quality content. The depth and specifics matter.

For instance, I outsourced an article that was to be a review for software for XYZ niche. What I got back was a fluff piece about how fun XYZ niche is and what it's about. Do you think people looking for the software, which made participating in the niche easier, already know about the stupid niche?

Don't kill your website by hiring someone not willing to really research the topic (or that knows it to begin with). Spending 15 minutes researching won't cut it--unless you just want surface writing.

You may want to look into elance.com for getting articles written, there's also an ebook available called Ghost Writers From The Inside Out which is available from thediscountebookstore.com (see my signature), PM me for a free copy if you think it may help you out.
