Im thinking about starting an article site for Dutch articles.
Now I was wondering if there are (open source) plugins or scripts available to facilitate this?

Plugins or Scripts.. like an article script? Maybe just WordPress would be fine

I mean something that includes an author box and facilitates categories and authors. I could use wordpress for it, but then I'll have to tweak it. Before doing so I was wondering if there arent already things out there

Hmmm.. how about Joomla? It has sections/categories along with authors and a buncha great extensions for it.

yup I also recommend joomla..lots of mods/hacks
