Responding to requests to translate/use my content in a foreign language?

I've had quite a number of requests from people asking if it is ok for them to translate my content (primarily photoshop tutorials) into a foreign language and use it on their own site (of course, with a link back).

Ususally the content in question is this: http://www.absolutecross.com/tutorials/photoshop/

I was wondering what you guys think of this. I generally don't allow anyone to repost my tutorials/content on their site in English since I don't want it to be considered duplicate content on the search engines (though I may not fully understand this yet - I'm reading Aaron's SEO book though right now to learn). I always ask them to only link directly to the tutorial instead, with at most a bit of intro text, but not the full content. So since it would be in a foreign language, is it a good idea to let them go ahead and do it, so long as they supply a link to my site?

Also of course feel free to set me straight on understanding the effect, if there is one, of allowing people to repost my content in English as well.

Thanks guys!

I think there's nothing wrong with it - free publicity. shouldn't have any search engine penalties either.

Sweet

It's very cool how many people have been mentioning things like that lately haha. A while back when I was in college I took a web development course for fun.... the guy sitting next to me saw I was working on my site, and was like "woa you're the absolutecross guy?!" haha

Anyhow, I'm working on adding tons of new content in the near future... so hopefully you'll have some "fresh" tutorials to check out finally haha (I've been working on different things for a long time, but getting back into my site now).
