What is a good price for an eBook with about 30 pages of unique content, and 12,000+ words? It's focusin on a smallish subject (Azoogle) and I believe it can be helpful.
I was aiming for a price on the lower scale, but I wanted others opinions.

At only 30 pages long, I probably wouldn't feel comfortable paying above $27. If you plan to sell in large volume, that should be an adequate price for your hard work. However, if your content is amazing, you could always give away a few copies for $27 and then sell the rest for $47+
Good luck with your eBook sales.

Well I'm not really doing it for monetary purposes, more to get my name out there, while still profiting a bit. I guess I'll go for the $27, and try to sell 37 copies (equals $1000) - if I do that i'll be extrememly pleased.
Of course I'll try to get more than 30 pages though, I want the book to be really worthwhile to those interested in Azoogle, not as much to write as say an Adsense book however.

My advice would be to test the price, people are always going to want the cheapest, but that might not make you the most money.
Something is worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it.
Why not write 100 pages and sell it for more. Make it a must have. I think it's a great idea for you to do this, but why not make it worth your while and make some money from it?
If you can offer something that no one else does you will make a name for yourself.
I am also working on an ebook and I am finding out there is more to it than I thought.

Well I am way off that, but maybe I do have more to learn, or maybe I'm just not good at blabberin' on :P

Well I believe there is no other Azoogle-related eBook

Azoogle is a relatively small niche though, I've tried to be informative, and spend a while trying to think of unique CPA Advertising methods (and I have got some), but it's just so hard :P

Normal computer books sell for $20 if only like a few hundred pages, no CD and stuff ($30 with a CD).
how can an eBook ever be more??

If information in an ebook can increase your earnings, quite a lot.
For example, if through a tip from Daves' new Azoogle ebook you find a way to improve your revenue by $10 a day for a few months then I reckon paying $97 is a bargain.
I doubt there is a book out there that would give you the same info.
It's a mistake to look at the info in ebooks the same way as you would a regular book. You are paying for the possibility of increasing your bottom line and only you can decide how much it is worth.
But it's knee deep in crap out there and I would say only ten percent are worth buying. I've bought a few in my time, some worthless, some priceless. You have to figure out which is worth it.
Of course a lot of people spend hours and hours trawling through forums and find out the info themselves and that's great if you have a lot of time. But I would rather spend the money on trusted sources, learn quickly and stay ahead of the crowd.

Yea, maybe it can increase your revenue, but so can those real paper books.

Sure they can, but the speed the net moves so fast by the time the book appears in your local bookshop it can be out of date.
Of course if you don't mind the info being old and out of date then it's ok, that and it's hard to read a laptop on the bog.

thing is, i'll be offering free updates to the book, and will start conducting a bunch of experiments (only viewable by the buyers) showing how different techniques can work.
the information will never go out of date and the book will always get fatter

i never make those kinds of promises. I'm expecting my eBook to help people, but it's up to the person to put in the effort to make the money, I'll never "promise" additional income.

Dave,
As someone has already pointed out ... the ebook will only be worth what someone is willing pay.
Sometimes page count matters but these days, it doesn't.
You want to provide quality content.... No BS.... No Filler ... No Fluff!!!
This is what buyers want more than reading 100+ pages of transitional words.
Once you have a draft, seek out beta testers. Get at least 5... 10 would be better. You'll want those who are beginners, intermediate, and experienced azoogle earners. These are the folks that will give you feedback and testimonials..... and guidance for a pricing point.
When you're ready, I've got a free ebook cover and PR4 link from an Internet Marketing Directory waiting for ya

If you are doing it just to get your name out there why not offer it for free or as a bonus?

The bigger the price, the smaller audience. I vote for 27$

I think you should really give a few well known names a free copy to let them critique it and hopefully that will give you a few blog posts
Than just give the first few hundred for free to let the viral marketing kick in and then start offering them for $27. Well at least that is what I would do
