Hi guys,

For me there is not doubt, content is really the KING!

I've read many books and articles about this, trying to improve my website.

I also like blog.mindvalleylabs.com because of they scientific way to test everything. You'll find many tips there!

Cheers

ok easiet way is to do a test and record the results.

I had a site and gave general information and asked for sign ups hardly anyone did...was about 11% sign up rate.....

same page and same traffic...but this time turned the bad info into juicy exciting eye opening info and guess what happened....they got excited and conversions went to 34% for signups...so just goes to prove you should never under estimate the value of content...give them stuff they would noramally have to pay for...make em say..whao.....fantastics and you results will go through the roof

Content is really important, but is it a king? I'm not sure.

Content is important, but it depends on which perspective you're looking at. If you want your audience to build up and gain more visitors as well as a search engine ranking (and you have the money for it) you can build up the links to your site.

If you want to build up content and gain readers as well as get targetted SERP ranking, go for content. Plus it's free

Your content is king as long as people know that it exists

Getting trafic depends alot on your marketing abilities. I would say introduce others to you site by inviting them..Offer some free software as part of the invite. Everyone loves "freebies" .. There has to be something to attrack the otherwise blind passerby..Stick something out in your ads that say .."Right now for a limited time we are offering visitors this 'free....' " You can also offer a weekly freebie..or a montly freebie..this will keep people coming back.. I have seen this done on many sites.

I absolutely agree with this. I just came across this forum after typing in (just for fun) "is content really king?" into Google.... I wanted to see what people's views were. As a full-time writer of content for companies and individuals, all I can figure is that it must pay off huge dividends because they keep coming back and keep expanding their websites with new content. I still can't believe how much niche sites with unique content bring in. One client just astounded me with her latest AdSense figures.... Guess I should put my talents to work for myself and start some of my own sites, eh?

Anyway, glad I found this forum.

LOL just goes to show that this forum is well seo'ed into google now.

secondly content is very much a hot topic on eveyones lips.....I ask you to do a test....give cruddy content to your clients then ask what they thought.....

then give them hard core solid info give them juicy info they would normally have to pay for. Then tell them it was a test and show them the results....

you will have much better comments from the high quality content....its a no brainer!
