Hey All now everyone wants to think of new Ideas but people seem to bring new things up and you think 'I wish i had thought of that first' and you think that theirs hardily anymore ideas out their, there are 1000's waiting to be found,

To start off im looking for a Unique idea something (Website Based) which will be 'Dynamic' But Like many others I cant think!! Even though i know how to start off I just cant do it!

Has anyone got/had and ideas that you didnt manage to produce? I would gladly do it hehe, But seriously it is very hard work finding something,

Here are the first few steps i follow

1. Find a Target audience
i. age group
ii. ethnicity
iii. location (uk, us etc)

2. Think what that audience would like
i. Dynamic "Wigits" for younger teens
ii. Dynamic "Signatures" etc
iii. Flash Animations (Funny)
iiii. Jokes etc
iv. Horroscopes

But if you notice the above have been done, now theirs no rules saying you cant make your own (horroscope website etc) but people will go to something like tarot.com! which is one of the top ones, no one would want to goto another tarotstarsigns.com website would they?! nope they wont!

So people are always looking for new Unique content, To also help you find new ideas you have to (get where new ideas are generated) (Teens) I personally think the Teens area is one of the biggest markets out their maybe im wrong but their are new words, new television programs, new 'crazes' coming out all the time, i mean in the old days we used to play 'conkers' do you remember?! you see their are new things coming out each time if you just grabbed hold of them when they come out you will grab hold of the idea 1st you just need your wits about you..

Another example, I know its not a great idea but it helps you get a grasp of what im talking about...

You have heard about the Unfortunate death of MR Steve Irwin 'The Crocodile Hunter'? well you could set out a SteveIrwin Tribute website that offers his merchandice and have a comments page where people could post their tributes etc,

also me and a friend was going to register (boselecta.com) when the program (boselecta came out!!) i mean god thats the name of the program think how much people would be searching boseleta on google, if you had it all keyworded etc you could make a fortune, well im fead up of writing this better get on with some real work now, keep me tuned in on your new ideas and tell me if i helped you in anyway

cheers

peter

Ideas aren't necessarily my problem - there are barriers to entry for me to carry out my ideas that I am actively working to overcome:

1. Technical barriers - some simply involve areas of coding that I am unable to do at this time

2. Financial - at this time I am not in a position to get my own server rented or to budget for marketing... am working on this and have researched some costs involved (minimum requirements per idea - inflated due to additional technical barriers)

I am waiting to see if I get accepted onto a 16 week course, aimed at new business start-ups, at the end of the course there is £1500 as an incentive to get starting your own business (some of my ideas involve considerably more finance, but some can start out smaller with more controlled costs and eventually lead to the original idea).

During that time I will be working on the technical barriers - as many of them as I can :P

Here's an idea for a blog that I know I'll never have time to do.

Each day on sitepoint a number of websites are put up for sale here http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace...p?categoryid=1

Write a blog entry for each site and detail Pagerank, inbound links, revenue streams, etc etc. Basically review the site.

You can submit a link of your review against the original posting for traffic and revenue could come from adsense.

How does that sound ?

Um that is a bad idea cause those people pay $20 for the sitepoint listings and if you bad mouth the site you could ruin the sale. Thats why there is a forum so people can discuss the site in a moderated enviroment. There is no need for such a service and it would be detrimental to the sitepoint marketplace.

That's a good point, however that's not how it would necessarily be run.

It would be more about.

1. Ignoring sites that have only been running for a month (which appear often on sitepoint)

2. A technical review, backlinks etc.

3. Then an honest appraisal of the site.

Perhaps a bad review could ruin a sale; or perhaps a bad review could disuade a buyer from making a bad purchase.

I have to disagree.

The site review idea is a great one. At least for a good cause. Think for a minute that how many people would have been ripped off by buying those sites?

Ideas are "a dime a dozen"

In the Internet world, it's all about execution

You don't need a revolutionary idea to be successful.

All the experts tell you the same thing - take a market where there's an existing need that people pay money for, improve on it, then focus on nothing but traffic and conversion.
