Has anyone here found a decent article writer to outsource to? I want to flood my site with fresh articles but I do not have time to write very many myself.

I use scriptlance.com, you can also try getafreelance.com and rentacoder.com
finding a writer is quite easy there. there're lots of cheap and quality writers there
I usually pay just $1-4 per article, but i order in large amounts and I don't need high quality

Retrove,
Post junk to get to 15 posts?
findinforums, Julie and junger,
Thanks for the info. What would you say is a good sized article? 500 words, 1000? What should I expect to pay for an article that size that is worth reading. None if this adsense garbage.

i guess it all depends on quality and purposes
if you need it for blog posts, just 300-400 words are usually enough.
For site articles 300-1000 words. I think large articles are better because if you have an article with lots of information people are more likely to link to it, so you'll get a bunch of free links
Some writers charge no less than $250 per article, some will do it just for $1.. so it's a question of quality, quantity and your budget

I use a program with AI to create new articles out of old ones while inserting affiliate links and adsense code.

500 to 1000 is a good sized article. I charge $15 for 500 words, $22.50 for 750, $30 for 1000, and so on. I guess that is moderately priced, but a good value for the quality I actually do.
That being said, you can also find some overseas people in India or somewhere that will write you 1000 words for $4. But its a question of whether you want good writing, or crappy writing.

Julie,
Are you available for hire? If so, can you PM me some examples of your work?
Thanks,
James

I can't imagine a bunch or indians working for minimum wage at some terminal will know much about anything besides ..well..india. No offence but thats probably the truth. If they did research they simply woudn't have time. Use common sense.

You'll never get as good content using some AI (or overseas outsourcing) as you will with an actual journalist, editor and Web writer.
You can try it, but don't expect great results.

I have yet to find a decent source for original articles. I've tried a couple of places, but I should have known what to expect. At one place, I paid around $10 for a 750 word article on a home based business topic. The article I got was only fair, and I ended up doing a complete re-write and I realized that I might as well just write my own articles for now.
I tried an "article of the day" type service that offered 30 articles a month (designed for blogs) for about $20. It was obvious these were written by people who didn't know English very well. All I can say is that they gave me a starting point for doing re-writes on the theme they were aimed toward. Otherwise, they were useless.
I haven't tried Elance. I would expect the price of a well-written article is pretty steep.

I constantly try new writers, keeping only the best and letting the others move on to write for webmasters with lower quality standards.
It is a painful process, but I have yet to find a good alternative.

Very familiar with that process and I have yet to find a better way to handle this as well.
