Right now all I've got is my big forum and a few little forums that I just don't have the motivation to promote. I've played around with CPA offers on my forum, but most offers just don't convert well with my audience, so I'd like to broaden my horizons a little.

I'm sure this is a terrible approach, so please give suggestions.

1) Find a descent CPA offer
2) Have a content writer create a 500-1000 word article related to the CPA niche and throw it on a landing page
3) Add CPA links and banners to page
4) Market page with PPC and 1-2 other articles submitted to article sites.

Is this going to leave me spinning my wheels, or might I actually have some success with this approach?

Can anyone suggest a good company (that you've personally used) to write articles.

Is there a script or automated method to make creating these pages a little easier?

Sounds like a generic approach. What part of that couldn't (and isn't currently) be easily replicated by anyone else? You need to offer something no one else does. A better website, a better connection to your customers, etc. Without something unique, you'll end up with a cookie cutter site that barely pays for itself, much less paying for your time.

Why not take a step back and think about what you are passionate about? Become an expert in that thing(s) if you aren't already and build a business around it/them.

A funny thing happens. You spend less time wondering what to do and more time wondering how to do all the ideas you have.

Think about what your TARGET wants and build it. If you don't know, you need to stop trying to do business and figure that out first.
