About PocketSynch
PocketSYnch will be a news, articles, and reviews site for portable (pocket) media devices (like the iPod Zune and other media players) and pocket PC devices. Basically anything you can "synch" with your PC. Hence the extremely clever PocketSYnch name

latest version of Wordpress taking advantage of all of it's cool new features like autosave ala gmail.

PocketSynch will follow in the footsteps of major tech related blogs like
TechCrunch and
TheTechZone only we'll be in our own little niche. I say "
our" because I look at this site as a group effort and just like those sites,
authors that get in early will share in the rewards from the site growth and I hope you will stay on as long time contributors. I plan to after a month or 2, promote one writer to editor and hire more writers eventually getting to the point where most writers have been promoted to editor.
This not some fly by night operation. I have already spent $x,xxx on the site's custom development and software licenses (site will have vBulletin forum as well) and I plan to spend mid to high $x,xxx over the coming 3 to 4 months in advertising and development. Go to the site right now to see version 1 of the site's design. I am having a professional logo added and tweaks made to the design to enhance it even further.
WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
I am looking to hire top notch technical writers to produce quality articles, news commentary, and product reviews. Either I will send you products, you can buy your own, or I will have companies that offer products send them to you for review. You will also need to scour the net for the LATEST news on related products, accessories, and the companies who make them. Not looking for day old news. I need 0 day material! Should be as easy as subscribing to the right RSS feeds.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 year of college education in english or a technology releated field preferred.
- Experience writing for a technology oriented publication online or off would be accepted in lieu of education.
- I will also consider your past works in lieu of education so if you have no education or experience I suggest you submit a BUTTLOAD of past works to show you have what it takes. More experienced writers will have priority.
- Charisma and wit are EXTREMELY important! I'm not looking for stuffy text book articles and reviews. I need personality and style that will keep readers coming back!
PAYMENTS- Salary is $20 per WEEK (Remember you only need to write 2 posts)
- Payments will be made via PAYPAL ONLY.
- If you are hired I will request a PayPal Subscription link so that you are paid ON TIME every single week!
If you write more than 2 quality posts per week for a month you can feel free to contact me at that time and we can discuss a salary increase in relation to your work. Please realize that I am funding this entire project out of pocket so know that I will take the site's revenue earnings into consideration at that time as well. So write good stuff!!
