It's true that squidoo, wetpaint and hubpages take up a lot of time. I tried making a squidoo page but with all the customization and editing that needs to be done, I lost my zeal and went over to submit my articles to link directories instead.

Of course if I do get a little more time (and enough effort) I'd be using these extensively also.

One of my Favorites is http://www.ideamarketers.com/ They have an easy to use web base and you can easily syndicate your articles. They are also not so critical of article substance.

I think everyone has their own place to go submit articles. You can use places like ezine articles and go articles and some even use a submitter like article marketer. People have their own success using these and som don't. The choice is your to test which is best for you.

Ezine article is the best place to publish your articles, it can drag a good amount of traffic to your site. But usually ezine people takes around 7 days to review and publish your article.

I'd say articlesbase.com. I notice that the articles I submitted to their site gets indexed by Google fast and usually has a high rank on the SERP.

I can't help bringing this 2008 post back to life. Ideamarketeers.Com is really a good place to submit your articles. As far as mine are concern, it always get my articles listed on the first page of Goog for the keywords I targetted in just a few days. Its also a great place to network as marketer and article publisher.

Just make sure your content is original and unique.

I would recommend submitting manually to major article directories and some niche ones related to your nice and use article submission services to submit to smaller article directories to get as many one way backlinks as possible. Try to change your article titles as much as possible and after submitting them to article directories then bookmark the articles to get them more views.
