Actually, this idea that you need to "think" of good comments is rather ridiculous. Excellent "comments" have been made by philosophers going back 3,000 years and more, English writers for 1,000 years and more, politicians, well, forever....
Want the best comments? Find excellent comments by brilliant men of the past and relate their comments to the present and future. Just be sure to credit the originator of the comment, and if you happen to get it from a Web site, be sure to link back to that site with full disclosure that it comes from that site. You can do this under what is called "Fair Use" under the 1st Amendment.
The best content, the best "writing," is not necessarily writing at all, but research, and editing - the editing being focusing down on the very best material.
