it depends on what your website is about. I guess you should know more about it because you own it. it means you know a thing or two about what your site is offering. you can write articles about this or research the internet about this to get more resources. just don't copy and paste somebody else's work

I think that before writing article for your site you must do some readings on your niche so you can have some fresh ideas before writing! then make sure that you writing is unique to avoid duplicate content!

Proper English and Grammar are a must since your content will be published to the web.

Also, try taking the time to really get to know your target market and niche and become the authority.

Yes grammar is important, also, its not like talking, try cut unnecessary substances out of the article, I hate reading long drawn out paragraphs, maybe break it up with an image or two...

What does this mean? What is it not doing, that you hoped it would? In other words, what goals do you have in mind, that aren't being realized?

Well, since you have "US Restaurants" in your signature as a link, I'm guessing you run a site about restaurants. Writing articles about Formula 1 racing would be a waste of your time. You want to (1) establish your name as an expert in your field, and (2) write articles that will entice some % of readers to click your link and find out more. Writing about what you know helps the quality of your articles, obviously, but also targets the same people as your site itself.

It's hard to offer much more advice without knowing what you're doing now, and where your efforts are versus aren't paying off for you.

There are a few keys to article writing, most of which can be summed up through one goal: have a specific audience in mind and write the article for them. If you do so, you'll make sure to write within a specific niche, avoid duplicate content, and write clearly and efficiently enough to impress your audience. Good luck, and remember articles are meant to be read, so write them accordingly!

If you are going to submit your article to the article directories...then give good information to your target audience. Do not try to promote your website in the article. The only place where you can tell people about your website is in the Resource Box at the bottom of the article where you give a quick short intro about yourself and what you are offering (products/services) on your website. This is the place where your url to your website can be place.

Why do people think writing is esy and they when they can't do it them maintain how easy it is? Writing content takes focus, discipline, language skill, work, and editing. Hire someone if you can't whip it out yourself.
