Say for 5 IT articles a day, taken from global news sites and re written ?

Would be seeking someone reliable and good.

The going rate for a writer to have a job like that - well the writer pays his/her soul over, and in exchange gets some form of currency. The currency varies. The going rate travels from far too little to a bit more than far too little!

Why rewrite. Step back. Step back and reframe your idea - original content is 10,000% more profitable than words made purely to weave a web.

If I was writing 5 good I.T. articles a day, as a journalist for the national I.T. press, that would be maybe 500+ pounds sterling of payment a day. To write 5 articles for an environment paying say 5 dollars... is to stab all other writers and artists in the back.

Why don't you decide your own reasonable rate based on your writing skills

It's really hard to say. If you want junk, you can have that done for less than $20, but for good quality, you will pay more. If people are actually going to read them and they're not just for search engine food, you might want to spend a little more to get an article that won't make your website appear unprofessional.

it also depends on where the writer is geographically located doesn't it? I mean a person from say, India would probably charge a bit lesser compared to someone in England.

Well, the rate that normally goes at other most popular forums is 1cent a word for 100% unique article and $1.5-$2 for 500words rewritten articles.

I'm an article rewriter and thus can offer you my services at the price mentioned above.

Based on my experience, the average rate for a quality and unique article ranges from $2 to $5. That would be fair enough for both parties i guess.
