we have been discussing a lot of link building article writing, article spinning etc. i heard this term content scarpper, what if i develop a software to scrape content from sites, rewrite them and then submit to article directories (this is just an idea) coz if intelligent spinning is nt bad, then why waste money getting new article written?

Any automated tools in content writing are a total no no. Content scraper or spinner creates crappy articles that don't make sense. I've tried using it, hated it! Nothing beats human brain.

Hi,

I tried once software for article but its not effective because result are about one paragraph for related keywords from different sites and that was not effective.

Unique and good contents can written only by human and i prefer this way.

Thanks

In fact it depends on the purpose of your writing. There are people who need to use significant amount of sites for commercial purposes, and these are not human - oriented sites. For them scraper is good. In regard to Google detection - well, Google is not almighty and unless some “collaborator” gives you up chances of getting banned for content scraping are usually minimal.

A scraper site is a website that copies all of its content from other websites. No part of a scraper site is original. Yahoo and Google gather content from other websites and index it so that the index can be searched with keywords. Search engines then display snippets of the original site content in response to a user's search.A search engine is not a scraper site.

a scraper site is a site where snippets of other sites appear. When they detect a new post regarding a certain topic, especially very hot and recent, they'll "scrape" your post about it, place it on their blog and add a no-follow link to your blog in exchange.

In SEO it is always better do things manually. If you scrap a website content and pasted it anywhere else google can find it eaily.

If you spin the scraped articles and made anew one with the help of a software .... Still it cannot be said as an article ,it is just an artificial combination of keywords and useless for users. So their is adding value to customer.

I agree that, in most cases, you are better off writing your own. If you are just doing articles mainly for search engines - it may be a different story, but even then, why not use your content writen for people and just rearrange it?

There is so much crappy copy out their and people just get turned off. I wouldnt want my clients to see something associated with me that wasnt decent.

oh and I was under the impression that writers can be "content scrapers" as well. I didn't know that it was a program.

Scraping contents is a black hat method and not SE friendly. A friend of mine tried developing websites with automated scrape contents on different themes and put adsense to it. Unfortunately, after he earned in a few months, Google detected it and banned the sites. SO think about it.

I think you already got right answer. Guys do not use any scrappers. Scrapping content will never work out as Google is more aware of this issue.

I agree with andrei, its like cheating. If you really don't have time to write then why not hire someone else to do the job for you. Instead of focusing on making tools, try focusing on hiring a good writer.

Scraping content and republishing is called plagiarism.
It doesn't matter if you change a some words or use a tool to rewrite it (that just creates a derivative work).

It is illegal and it is unethical.

Spinner is a total waste of time. Besides it eats into head like a termite. They are just a choice not to be taken for granted. Human brain is supreme and unparallel..

Content scraping is a waste of time. Your visitors will bounce off as soon as they see it because it's a waste of their time. It's a waste of your time too to invest on something that won't do you any good. If you think you don't have the skills to write articles yourself, you can hire someone to do it.
