This is mostly for those who do not speak English as a first language, or those who wish to improve their grammar skills beyond the norm...would you invest in grammar lessons or information products?

This is a question I ask because I'm considering producing workbooks geared towards those wanting to improve their grammar. While my main target is freelance writers wanting to make more money, I also want to target the general public.

Please let me know what you think about this idea. Honestly.

If that happens to be related to my job, and would make me earn more money through learning proper grammar, well yes of course. Although some people are too scared to buy something online, they get so paranoid whether its a scam or not. Nice idea though..

I'm sure there is a large number of people who WANT to invest, bit the only problem is reaching your audience. You need to find your niche, and it's one of difficult tasks, really.

Instead of lessons, I'd be interested in a grammar checking service

While English is my native language, I still manage to make plenty of mistakes when writing.
I've used Amazon's Mechanical Turk from time to time. It has been pretty helpful. However, a service that specialized in grammar checking would be worth while.

If it's going to help you in your job, then why not? Go for it! Actually, even if it's not related to your job, English lessons will definitely help you in real life. You'll be able to interact with more people, get across your message clearer, and open up more opportunities for yourself.

i think investing in improving English skill is necessary as English are the commonest language and we will benefit from good language in every work.

Hopefully it's irony, but somehow I doubt it!

well, anything that can improve/benefit us is always worth investing, one of the problems that you might find is the competition, there are a lot of free stuffs in google about it http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&s...=f&oq=&aqi=g10

English is not my 1st language and I admit that sometimes my grammar is incorrect Maybe if I'm not a busy person then I will invest. But there are many FREE ways on how to learn the correct grammar. Like reading English books frequently, watching English movies and put in to practice like what I'm doing right now in participating here

Although there are many people wants to learn English like countries of china and korea. And as far as I know some companies already do this process and they really earn big money and it is an Online tutorial especially to the students.

So you need to target your clients.

How about starting with a blog containing articles/lessons and examples. You can find examples of poor grammar all over the internet and write some articles based on those examples. You can also write short lessons as blog posts. It might also be interesting to read about the differences between English grammar and other language structures.

The money then comes from joining Google's Adsense and other targeted marketing.

You can also make the product available for free, but include a request for donation and a PayPal link. There are several companies that use this rather than fight unpaid downloads.

Anyway, good luck with your project.

Impeccable grammar is important, I think. It gives your article and it compels the reader to keep on reading. Nothing turns me off than a poorly written article rife with grammatical errors.

I want to improve my English grammar! I never had any proper instruction on learning English Grammar. I failed so many times in English class and barely graduate with D. if you don't believe me you can visit my blog in the signature. I'm serious! I need thoughts on my writing too if you guys have time to look over through my poorly written articles.

I think I would, I need it for my job as freelancer. I want to enhance more of my english grammar, and I think if you want to focus on something , you should exert effort for your preferment.
