I was curious whether anyone here has had any experience with copywriting courses.

I am looking for one to take part in particularly for generating sales copy. I have looked at John Carlton's course as well as those offered by AWAI. These courses can be expensive and just wanted to get some feedback.

Anyone have a recommendation? Anyone have any experience with one of the courses I listed above? Some other course?

I haven't tried any copywriting courses. I have considerable experience on marketing comm though.

I actually own 2 AWAI courses, but I am already working 2 jobs and it hasn't been time to delve into them yet. I did get a fair amount into the TRAVEL WRITING class, and it definitely was decent. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Rhetoric, so I went into it understanding that it was written for the layman. I also own the 1st Copywriting class, and I really enjoyed the beginning of that one as well, pretty much the same concept, except I would think there is more $$ to be made from the Copywriting class.

Oh, and AWAI has been outstanding in how it treats you -- I still get emails for writing gigs, even though I'm not ready to jump on them yet. I've been very impressed with them.

This is really an interesting topic to do a course in. i never thought thatthere can exist a course like this.

my suggestion to writers is to just keep reading and reading..copywriter courses help but reading other people's work also opens you up to new ideas.

Are the courses aimed at complete novices, or do you need some experience before looking at taking one. It would be an extremely useful skill to have.

The courses won't give you everything, but it's a good place to start. Practice - that's what you need.

Copywriting Courses are good but if you are skilled in written English then the tougher part is done. You then just require learn the norms of writing an unique piece of article.
