Hi everyone. I'm not sure exactly if I'm posting in the right spot (or even the right site for that matter). I work for a state unversity and we've been looking for a solution for a while for one of our website problems. Our university is currently undergoing a lot of construction projects. On our facilities page we would like to outline a detailed description of these projects using preferably a pdf format for each project. Our problem in this area is that we do not have a full time Web tech to do content updates or even to develop the pdfs. We were looking into hiring a company in which to create and update this content without actually hiring any full-time staff. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appriciated. - Thank you

Are you asking for recommendations about who to hire? There are plenty of people who would do the work. I wasn't sure if your question is more of is it possible to hire someone or a who should I hire.

Plenty of people here do the kind of work you want. Instead of posting here though you might want to search through some of the threads to get a feel for what people are like. Just asking if anyone is interested is probably going to get more spam replies than useful one.

Just guessing, but wouldn't it be likely there are plenty of students at the University who could do the work. I know that means hiring someone, but it'll probably cost a lot less and you'd be helping one of your students as well as hiring someone who's likely more interested in the success of the University site. Just a thought.

Along with VanGogh's thoughts - when you do seek out potential service providers it would be good for you to make clear what type of web site you have (i.e. is it a CMS such as Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress?). You might even consider alternative ways to update interested parties such as quick video updates, posting them on YouTube and embedding the videos in your site. Adding the video embedding code may be quite quick/simple and reduce the coding time required to update the site. Just a thought.

Users sign up for an account, and enter their username and password. (If the template doesn't work that way, get a better one.)

If you want to put new videos up every day, I suggest that you create the page that allows the user to choose a video to watch dynamically - from the names of the videos in a database. When you upload a video, add the name in the database.
