Hi to all

I am new bee. I do not know which tool to use to check duplicate content.. and what exactly the duplicate content is in terms of Google..?

use copyscape to scan your articles.

It's not foolproof, I suspect google has it's own [far better] dupe content checking than copyscape, but its better than nothing i suppose.

I also recommend Copyscape. If you put a Copyscape banner on your website, people will be less likely to copy your content.

Just to support what chrishirst want to point out:

If Google detects several web pages offering exactly the same content, its algorithms will select that which best offers the information required and list that. It might also list one or two other pages offering exactly the same content if there are good reasons for it doing so (e.g. more links to other relevant websites, more other relevant pages on the domain, and so on).
