Article submission is a great way to do two things for your website:
1- Get people to read those articles, get interested and click your link!
2- Create backlinks!!!
Article submission can be done quite a few ways, but I have three that I think work the best.
1- Create content on your own and submit it to a few high ranking sites online; Ezine Articles, Articles Galore, Articles Base, etc. Major time involved in this.
2- Get someone to create content for you and submit it for you to hundreds of sites across the Internet - major backlinks involved in this.
3- Get someone to create the content for you OR create it yourself, and get a program that submits the content for you to hundreds of sites online.
In submitting your article (Btw for me, submitting and distributing are two different things!) you will be asked to enter in factors like a title, body of your content, summary, keywords, categories, an html coded resource box (where your backlinks come from) and a text based resource code. You should find a company or a program that allows both a text and an html resource box because some directories online allow one or the other. If you include both, you are ensuring yourself that when you, the company or the software distributes the article you get as many "accepts" as you can get.
Some directories, blogs and websites online will accept the article right away and you will start seeing backlinks the first day you distribute the article. Other sites take longer. Sites like Articles Base actually put your article in a "holding tank", because they actually (or they used to) view each article by hand and accept or reject it. In this case, a site like this get's hundreds or thousands of articles a day, so it might take a few days for them to put your article up live on the site.
