So happy to find this thread. Over commitment means lack of getting deadlines done. Pick the best and hold out for the ones that are most credible. To me, writing one credible article is better than ten crap articles. Just a thought.
I would add to all the discussion one more thing: don't underbid!!! Don't try to place the cheapest possible bid. This is the problem that many newbies want to get the project so much that they agree to work for peanuts.
Prove that you are a high quality author/webmaster/poster etc. and ask for a reasonable price for your services. When I place a project on freelance sites I see that there are many people offering the lowerest possible price, but I always try choose the most appropriate person who can prove that he/she can do the project well even at a higher price.
