Thought I would throw in a different perspective. Often people who post on forums are non-native English speakers, so it's nice to be as tolerant as possible. I try to ask myself if I would do as well trying to post in their native language - probably not. On the other hand, if the poster is a native English speaker, there is really no excuse for sloppy punctuation, misspelling, etc. I think forums have actually improved peoples' ability to write well. I see a lot of people taking the time to write in coherent sentences just because it is easier to get your point across.
To daisies1062, if English is not your native language, be proud that you are multi-lingual, and remember that Mr/Ms Sarcastic is probably just insecure.
