I want to ask you why paypal is not international ... it only support certain countries ...
Why it is not like Egold or moneybookers which support all countries ?
And do you think that paypal will support more countries later ? and is your country supported ?

My country is supported and I am happy for that.

Regarding why they are not supported in all countries, I think that it is partly a business strategy and partly have something to do with certain countries, like laws and such.

Some countries are not supported because of the high rates of fraud. PayPal are just being selective so they don't have lots of fraud problems, there may be some now, but including other countries not currently supported would open can of worms.

I think that they are trying to expand into other countries though, it will take some time until they can find ways to stop certain events from happening a lot though.

As Andreas Bard said, it supports my country and that's all that really matters too me.

Technically, it is international... it's not not universal/worldwide.

I believe it is because some countries have a very unstable financial infrastructure, which would be disasterous for any organization, including paypal, if something happened to their monetary market.

Yes, and there's fraud and stuff, which I think someone already mentioned.

I really think it has a lot to do with fraud and the size of countries. If a county is small enough, it's not worth it to take care of all the fraud that might result from allowing that country to use paypal.

It's not accepted in my country .. probably because most people think Romanians are scammers or hackers .. Well you're wrong! ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=YEdPoPkUsYc ).

You should consider yourselves lucky! Imagine not having PayPal ..

Yep i beleive its better the paypal only deal with certain larger countries and provide a better service to them then support all countries and not have as good a service.

Also they have selected not to add some countries due to fruad reasons.

It is not here in my country either which is funny because we have a very sound banking sector. Leading multinational banks like HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, ABN Amro and Citi Bank have large operations here.

I would also think it is down to fraud and laws. E-gold supports alot of countries, but they are also in hot water now from what I have heard in the US.
