Hello Chris Williams,

We are sorry but the inventory you have suggested http://proxiesrus.com has been declined at this time. The main reasons inventory is declined is:

-The website does not have enough link popularity.
-The website does not have enough traffic.
-The website is currently selling text link ads.

The website receives 700+ uniques a day - and, I haven't sold any text links. I am missing something? How do I "check" for link popularity? How do I improve my link popularity? Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Link popularity simply means how many websites link to your website. I guess they assumed the links you have in the footer, and/or the "fun links" on the right, when they mentioned you're selling text links already. Bottom line, though, is I guess they don't want any more proxy sites in their inventory. Seems like everyone and their brother is building up a proxy site these days, they're multiplying like cockroaches. My guess is that what they gave you was a form letter, what they meant is they don't think they can sell links for you because it's a proxy site. But, that's just my guess, I may be way wrong.

I think you are right, petertdavis. Once I received their email, I was thinking the same thing too.

Your current PR is 3, that explains most of it.

My friend has a 5,000+ visitors a day, only thing that his site is less than 3 months old and hasn't gained a PR of 4 yet (the minimum to get accepted to TLA). Maybe your site is new as well?

Oh - I had a Page Rank 4 actually, on the last it update it went down to 3. I think in the meanwhile until the next Page Rank update, I should be focusing on getting traffic to my website.

They check sites automaticly. You have so many links on your site and your Alexa ranking is pretty low.

To join text-link-ads publisher programm you must have better alexa ranking, pr not count there...

And if you have submitted your site one time, he will check it again in some time and will inform you once is accepted.

They pretty much give that form email to every site with PR of less than 4. By 'link popularity' they mean 'pagerank'. All you have to do is respond explaining your alexa ranking and your site and they will almost ALWAYS manually approve you.

Kevin, i talk with Support some days before and ask exactly this thing, and he told me that pr is not important, he is looking only for popularity

and btw, they have sites with pr2 even...

Alexa Ranking? that ranking that is affected whether you promote on your website or not? i don't think so buddy.

In regards to the Alexa ranking, when you guys say it is "low" do you say that it is considerably a good ranking, or bad? I know the lower the number the better, but if you meant low as in bad, or weak.

I know what you guys mean about traffic - traffic has always been a problem for me though. I am working hard to step it up to 1000 a day, that is my goal for this month.

You guys have given me some great advice - to sum it up, I should contact them myself, and they will manually except me?

Absolutely nothing. Doesn't matter a whole lot to me, I just thought I'd test them out. Perhaps I'll reapply in a few weeks/months and see if things have changed. If not, it's not a terrible loss.

It isn't a huge problem for me as well, I still use adsense - I have just heard so many positive things about Text Linds Ads.

I had a site that was rejected at first. Have patience as your sites profile builds up you will probably receive an invitation from them saying your site is now approved. I had that happen with one of my sites after the last Google pagerank update.

In the mean time you can always be a part of their affiliate program.

I got denied too yesterday but I only submitted a newer site of mine without any traffic. Oh well, I don't plan on using them with my other websites though.
