Recently I switched out Vibrant Media's contextual ads and inserted Kontera's instead. I added the code in the same place as vibrant media's code, on non-forum pages, content pages only. Starting about the time I added the code, I started to hear from visitors and members that some of them found their pages freezing as they loaded. And instead of brisk page loads, jerky loads. I've experienced some of it myself although i haven't had anything freeze.

Does anyone else notice this with Kontera code? Is there a fix?

I do not have much experience with Kontera, but what I can say is that with our ads (Thundertext.com) we make sure the content loads first (the most important part of the page) and then the ads load on top of that.

We not had any complaints from any of our publishers that ads loaded slowly.

I hope that helps.

Kontera definitely slows down load times, some of my members complained about it and I experienced it too. I eventually just took it out completely and noticed a vastly improved load time.

It freezes for only a couple of seconds, not a fuss for my blog though... Maybe the large base of keywords in forum slows it down...

Kontera ads are made to load last on a webpage so as not to cause any system slow-down. Any technical difficulty can be due to a number of reasons related to optimization and can be resolved easily. I would like to take a look at your sites so I could best advise. Feel free to post them or send via PM.

Thanks

Thanks Mika. I sent the issue to my rep at Kontera who did some magic behind the scenes or to their servers. Now there doesn't seem to be a slowdow and my stats look good.

Wish I had that kind of help.

A recent site I uploaded Free Meatloaf Recipe seems to hang, frozen while the kontera code does its work.

Thought about eliminating it from the site but am looking for alternate courses of action.
