It looks like G is moving to the testing phase of its CPA network:

Quote:
Google is launching its own affiliate marketing network where websites that host ads from Google are paid for any action the visitor makes rather than just clicking on a link.

The search engine has invited a number of web site owners to take part in the pilot programme that will see site owners getting extra payments if their visitors take some kind of beneficial action on the advertisers' sites - such as buying a product or requesting further information.

you think it will actually make people money? I assume if they can provide payouts that are high like any good affilate broker can, any website owner should see extra cash made from these "actions"

I guess it will be awhile before we can get into this tho

That's kind of old news. I'm suprised we haven't heard anything new since June.

I will only use adwords if they introduce a cost per action system. Otherwise I know im gonna get screwed by tirekickers, bogus clicks, clicks from proxies, and other crap. Cost per action elliminates all that.

Anyone here involved with the beta? I'd be interested to hear some first hand info.

It does..... but then you have fake signups and people that know the system getting people to only signup for the payout part etc.. each system has its flaw...

When I mean CRA im not just referring to email or zip code based offers like free ipods and such. I mean selling goods. If i'm selling ebooks for $97 I would glady had over google as much as $60 a sale it it meant elliminating all the tirekickers and clickfraud. The fraudsters would have no incentive to commit clickfraud since they would only get paid per completed sale. Kinda like how Clickbank and CJ works.

Why wouldn't you just take 10-20% of your budget to accomodate for click fraud? Also you can always show it on Google Search only which would take away A LOT of the the chances for fraud.

Btw, I am agreeing with you that CPA would have much less potential for fraud.
