Hi again! I am just doing final browser testing for the site I have been working on... whew! The problem I am seeing is these gaps at the bottom of my pages (not all pages) above the footer. I cannot figure out what is causing it, AND, it is only appearing in IE6.

Below are a couple of the page examples with the gap:

and

Link to style sheets:

We are supposed to go live with the site on the 15th, so I am hoping to get this fixed... You guys have helped me so much with this site when I was first learning CSS, so I know you will have some ideas!

Thanks!!

Thanks for the article, it is interesting. The thing is, there is nothing in the content that would be pushing the #content div down, or would need to be cleared. I use the same code, and same divs on most of the other pages, and do not have that gap issue. Any other ideas??

weird. I am on a mac right now so I used IEnetRenderer and it is showing a gap underneath the footer on those pages too.
I have a PC at home. When I get there, I will try to take a look at it there and see if I can help any more.

I have a couple of comments.
When you do this: <P class=sixphasetext><SPAN class=sixphase> -- the class should be inside quotes ie. <p class="sixphasetext">, the same goes for all your Id's - and all your tags should be in lower case.

The extra spacing is coming from the 1em bottom margin you have set on your <p> tag.

Actually I misread your original post. I thought you were talking about the big white space that shows up under your footer in IE6. I think the solution to that is in the link I originally posted.

Sorry!

LadynRed, thank you thank you!

I changed the margin bottom to 0px and the gaps are gone! There doesn't seem to be any difference in the spacing from what I can tell, so that is terrific!

Is there a specific page or section you are referring to??

All of them. If you have coded all your classes and ID's that way they are not properly done.

Where are you seeing them coded without " "??

They are in quotes on all the pages as far as I can tell.

Can you show me where they aren't in quotes or are CAPS??

It wouldn't even think it would display right if they were like that...

The space under the footer at the bottom is intentional, the container is set to a specific height that is constant for every page, on 1024 x 768 res there should just be a small margin around the sides and bottom. of course higher res, the margin will be bigger. That is how the site was designed.

Thanks for your help!
