Hi there.

I have been making a site for a friend and I'm having a bit of trouble with the layout in Firefox 2. Basically the site in made up of DIVs and is all contained in a wrapper div. This wrapper has a 1px black solid border.

In Firefox, the bottom bit does not have the border around it and I can't work out why. So if anyone can help with that, that would be great.

Another problem I'm having is to do with quotes. I found an excellent tuturial at http://www.webdesignerwall.com/tutor...-double-quotes which teaches you how to use css to insert text in a blockquote tag. This then uses first-letter to insert an image before the first letter in the blockquote, and then a background image to insert an image after the last word (in the bottom right).

As I say, both of these look fine in IE 7, but not in Firefox. Can anyone help please?

The page is http://www.jgslimited.co.uk/testimonials.html.

I would be grateful for any suggestions at all.

My CSS file is http://www.jgslimited.co.uk/includes/jgs.css

Thanks in advance,

Craig

Your footer is not being contained by the #wrapper (with the black border) either due to not clearing a float or improperly closing of a div somewhere.

I'm not sure I see the logic in splitting the footer into left and right sections either.

Oh, and you have a div stuck inside a <p> - that's not proper HTML.

cheers for the help.

I have now cleared the float, and also my clearit div was incorrectly closed.

Was there an easy way to find that, or did you just look at my code and work it out?

Also, any ideas how I can get the quotes working?

Many thanks once again.

Actually, I use a couple of Firefox Extensions - Web Developer Extension and Firebug. Both of those allowed me to see that the #wrapper was not containing everything as it should.

I'd have to see the tutorial or whatever on those quotes to figure that one out.
